Allyson Clark

Allyson Clark's love for animals began at such a young age and it shows in every aspect of her successful grooming business. As a child she used to rescue wounded dogs, cats, & seagulls that got caught on fishing lines and take them to the Newport Beach kennel.

Because of her love and compassion for animals this same kennel hired her at age 16 to be part of their work team. For over 10 years she worked with show dogs, and multiple groomers, learning every aspect of grooming to perfect her skills.

She has been in the pet grooming industry for 19 years and used to own 2 pet salons in Southern California. In 2004 Allyson moved to Maui attracted by the lifestyle and the beauty that surrounds the Hawaiian Islands where she decided to take her career mobile in order to give her clients and their pets more quality time and exclusive attention.

A warm note about Allyson

Aloha ...

Wow!

So many of you sent emails chastising me for letting Maui go so long without a haircut that my assistant Crystal thought I should explain the "why."

Maui (the island) is paradise ... but not for groomers.

There are only three on the entire island - for 100,000 residents!

They are all fully booked, all the time.

Maui's groomer, Allyson of Pawsitively Purrfect, is one of the sweetest, most doggy-loving people I know. She grew up rescuing injured animals - wild and domestic - and to this day remains totally obsessed with furkids.

She's totally in love with Maui, and takes excellent care of her like clockwork, every six weeks.

You can see a photo of her here:

But a few months ago she had to go out of town for several weeks, and because she works ten hours a day, six days a week, many of her clients had to live without her services - there was no way for her to "make up" the appointments that she missed.

Meanwhile, the other two groomers ... well, let's just say that I would never, ever, take Maui to them.

I have had very bad experiences with both, and one cut Maui's eyes a few years ago and actually caused the cataracts that she carries to this day.

She never even apologized!!!!!

The regular bathing and brushing that Molly and I do just isn't what Allison can do - but waaaaay better than what either of the other two groomers do.

When Allyson said she was not going to be able to see Maui for three months, Molly and I were quite downcast. We asked if there was ANYONE else on the island that she trusted with Maui (who is her second oldest client), and she said

"I wish there were. I've been trying for years to get reliable help."

If you know any stellar groomers who want a job in paradise, let us know - Allyson's waiting list alone could be a second practice!

Allyson really is a "pet angel," and we're blessed to have her. Check out her photo here:

You'll see immediately why her clients adore her. She oozes dog love.

Meanwhile, Maui thanks you for your concern.

;-)

Warm Aloha,

James Jacobson

Deanna Bradley

As a teenager, Deanna Bradley always liked animals. In her own free time, she would go to the humane society in Huntington Beach, CA to get pets and groom them not only to learn how to groom, but to also make them more adoptable. She never thought that choice would lead to her success today. For over 17 years, Deanna has worked in all aspects of grooming; training, pet fostering, and has even enjoyed agility courses with her best friend, Martini. Her like for animals has turned into a true love, and she dedicates herself to her work wholeheartedly.

Drawn to Maui by vacation, Deanna fell in love with the natural surroundings, the slower paced lifestyle and the true Aloha spirit that is so contagious here in the islands.

Pawsitively purrfect is so excited to have her as part of their ohana! We cannot wait for you to meet her!
